With views all over the valley, a sun-drenched pool and a spacious uniquely decorated dining room El Pelicano invites you to visit.

Visitors to Chirripó National Park will enjoy a comfortable stay, surrounded by beautiful gardens and magnificent views. El Pelicano also offers an ideal place for people who come to visit San Gerardo de Rivas. The hotel is constructed in local woods: Nazareno, magnolia, and pine, with views from the balconies in all directions of the mountains, lush green vegetation and organic coffee plantations.

The hotel is located 300 mts south of the Park offices (MINAE), 1km from the hot pools, and 2,5 km from the impressive waterfalls of Cloud Bridge Reserve that comprise our community. El Pelicano is a very special place with vistas of the Talamanca mountain range, Mt. Urán and Mt. Ventisqueros, as well as the valley below.

The hotel includes a Bar/Restaurant with capacity for 60 people. This historic restaurant contains the craftsmanship of the owner’s father, who for years carved birds and animals out of tree roots that have become world famous works of art.

The Lodge offers clean and comfortable bedrooms in the following combinations:

• 4 Rooms with a double bed

• 3 Rooms with 2 individual beds
• 2 Rooms with 3 individual beds
• 1 room with 4 individual beds
• 1 Room with 5 individual beds

The lodge has 4 shared bathrooms, all with hot water.

2 Rustic log cabins constructed of local woods, both with private bathroom and hot water:

• Cabin 1: With double bed
• Cabin 2: With 2 single beds and one queen size bed. This cabin also has a kitchen completely equipped with refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, TV, and BBQ

The swimming pool with views of the surrounding mountains and nearby gardens, has an area for barbecuing, and its own change facilities.
