Location: Los Cocolisos Truchero

A San Gerardo claim to fame! Its own family fishing attraction. Kids will love to try their hand at catching one of the river fresh trout at the truchero operated by the family Marin. The trout-filled pools are surrounded by brilliant tropical plants and the family has a prized orchid collection to view.

Located: on the road to Barrio Chispa. From the plaza in San Gerardo walk about 200m up the road. Just before the bridge and the climb to Cloudbridge Reserve and the Chirripó entrance, the road forks. Take the left fork and walk about 100m. Los Cocolisos is on your right.

Hours: Open daily till 6pm

Features: fishing in mountain stream fed trout pools. You pay only for what you catch! Staff will prepare your fish ready to take home to cook, or you can enjoy it right there in the bright open air restaurant with home-cooked accompaniments.
